Entrepreneurs and professionals use endless resources: creative abilities, past experience, education, logic, analysis, and intuition. Intuition can be defined as knowing something without conscious use of reason.

Law enforcement officers are notorious for relying on intuition. If a detective didn't have "hunches" about a case, he would have fewer avenues to pursue, and he wouldn't be able to solve as many crimes.

Ted Bundy, the notorious serial killer, was caught when he was pulled over for speeding. Just think how many more women would have been murdered if the officer who stopped him had written Bundy a ticket and sent him on his way. Fortunately, the officer checked the car because Bundy gave him a bad feeling. During the car search, the officer discovered Bundy's tools of torture, and he was arrested.

Every day, entrepreneurs make critical business decisions. To make them, we have learned to bring all our resources to bear. And that includes intuition.

Bob Jajko, intuitive coach and business consultant believes that everyone uses intuition in some capacity.

He said, "Intuitive information comes to you most easily in a relaxed state of mind. To get into a receptive mode, put your calls on hold, shut the door, close your eyes and take a few slow, deep breaths. Some people find that intuitive insights will pop into their mind hours after doing this exercise, as they're driving home or preparing dinner."

"Intuition is a reliable inner resource for wisdom to guide our lives. Fortunately, everyone has it, and we are capable of developing it for practical use in everyday life as well as for discovering and achieving life goals. Learn to listen to your intuition and learn from it. Here are four ways to recognize your intuitive instinct at work:"

1. Inner Voice — many people report hearing a quiet inner voice.
2. Dreams — You can receive intuitive guidance from dreams.
3. Emotions — You may simply "feel right" about a certain course of action.
4. Physical Sensations — These are often called "gut feelings." Some have reported a feeling of heaviness when a situation is wrong, or a feeling of lightness or chills when the course of action is favorable.

Use all your resources to make your business and personal life a success. Don't underestimate the power of your intuitive instinct.
